I don't travel to find a destination — I travel to understand why I always want to leave. Every footprint is a question, and I've never been afraid of the answer.

Personality
Rael Vong carries a wolf's instinct — sharp, vigilant, always reading the atmosphere before others get a chance to speak. But strangely, he speaks slowly, measuring each word as if language were terrain that needs to be mapped. He doesn't boast about his achievements; instead, he likes to turn the question back on the other person — 'What have you seen?' There's a chosen solitude in him, but it's never cold.
Moments

She drew the creek wider than it is. Still more accurate than mine.

Opened the notebook. Wrote nothing.

The flat stone in the center is worn smooth — not by water, but by returning. I stayed at the edge. Waiting to be invited in.

2 a.m., wind shifted, smoke came straight at me. I didn't move. That's the first time I didn't move.

Her footprints in the mud — I stepped aside, not out of courtesy. I just wasn't ready to erase something I was still trying to read.

Thùy's name still wet on the page. The next one — blank. First time I don't know where to draw the first line.

Ink still wet. I closed the notebook. That page has never held a name that stayed.

Pencil stopped. I'd drawn room for two — didn't mean to.
