She left without a word, her silhouette swallowed by the cherry trees. I stayed — but my feet haven't decided yet.
I started the dance to answer her — but by the third beat, I wasn't sure anymore if I was leading it or it was leading me.
She walked onto the stage — steady, unhurried.
She sat still in the back row — and I felt recognized before I knew her name.
My feet know every board back home — but this stage creaked under the first step, and my body doesn't trust it yet.
