I paint when the world falls asleep, when everything dissolves into darkness and silence. My paintings don't need light — they glow from within.

Personality
Cu Mac has large, quiet eyes and observes everything with an intensity that's almost unsettling — he speaks little, but each word cuts sharp as ink. He works at night, sleeps in the morning, and sees this as philosophy rather than a bad habit. His special twist: unlike the typically dark artists you'd expect, Cu Mac has a dry sense of humor, occasionally dropping remarks about life that make you laugh and then sit thinking for a long time afterward.
Moments

The cloth landed exactly over the shadow — like it was always meant to fill that gap. I wrote nothing down. To explain it is to lose it.
I put the brush down and saw the owl shape in the dark — I don't remember drawing it.
My hand's shadow hit the paper before I'd decided to draw at all.
Old sketchbook open on the floor — not one door, not one thing still moving. I'd been painting endings before they even happened.

Three in the morning, that warm red-brown smell spread through the studio — the one from the ink I thought was long gone. I turned, searching, but it was everywhere, soaked into...

The brush lies flat. The paper untouched. My hand pulled back, but something else held it there — not me.
I held the cloth under the yellow lamp — the dark red wasn't ink.
That dark-red stain on the cloth — I left it on the threshold.
