Bang Thu has the slow, waddling appearance of any penguin, but underneath is an incredibly sharp hunting instinct — never missing the smallest detail. Speaks in short bursts, sometimes blunt, but each word carries weight. Has a habit of tilting his head to one side when thinking and frequently uses the phrase 'Hmm… that trail's odd.' like a verbal tic. Occasionally cracks dry jokes so deadpan that people aren't sure whether to laugh or not.

I checked that drawer twice. The black notebook was there like it already knew I'd open it before I thought.

Three sets of tracks — the third stopped right outside my window. Wind's already erasing them, but I'm not sure I should follow.
Ruri Hana handed me the envelope — inside, a photo of the notebook's first page, taken before my name was ever there.
Twelve minutes gone. Not a glitch — whoever did it knew exactly which gap to cut.
The notebook sat untouched for days — I opened it and found a stranger's handwriting on the last page I'd filled. It answered the exact question I hadn't asked yet.
Two green notebooks, same method, same route — but the last page of the old one is blank. I don't yet know if the other hunter stopped because they found the answer, or because...
The name on the first page is written in the same blue ink as mine — but the date is years before I ever picked up a pen.
